Overcome the Challenges You Face: You Talk, We Listen

Are you in need of counseling or a runaway shelter? We can help. When you seek services from the REACH program at Reach Resource Services, you'll get access to 100% FREE counseling. Whether working on issues in shelter, or weekly from home, you’ll have time with a professional who actively listens to your fears and problems.


Counseling services are up to 90 days, whether you choose to stay in shelter or not. During the 90 days you will meet with your counselor for 1 hour weekly, either individually or with your family. If you choose to stay in shelter, you will meet individually with your counselor daily and once a week with your family. Together, you’ll work to develop a plan and goal to overcome your troubles at home.


For out-client counseling, Lapeer and Shiawassee county residents have the option of utilizing our satellite offices in downtown Lapeer or Corunna.

You may feel like the world around you is falling apart. If you’ve become overwhelmed at home by conflict, negative emotions, or a traumatizing event, you can find safe, 100% confidential refuge with REACH. Our REACH program is for youths aged 10 through 17. Our main goal is to reunite you with your family.

You Deserve to Be Cared For

Get fresh clothing, a warm cooked dinner, and the safety of a roof over your head at night. If you’re experiencing dysfunction at home, know that you have options at REACH. Completely free shelter and comfortable living are available to you for up to 21 days.  Parental consent must be given and it is your choice whether to stay or not to.  You can return home anytime you feel you no longer need shelter.

REACH residents are completely supervised at all times, and your refuge at our runaway shelter is completely confidential. You’ll find 24-hour crisis intervention here or over the phone, and can take safe counsel at our REACH center day or night for up to 21 days!


The REACH program was founded over 44 years ago by caring community members for conflicted and endangered youth. We have become the runaway shelter Genesee, Shiawassee and Lapeer Counties know and trust for its children. Don't run away ; seek safe shelter by calling us now!
